Detailed information on how your personal data is protected and what rights you have can therefore be found in our personal data policy.
SSL- or TLS-encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons. This is to protect the transmission of confidential content such as enquiries or orders that you send to us. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line in your browser changing from “http://” to “https://”, and by the key symbol in your browser.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, mobile, tablet or similar) and saved by your browser. A cookie contains a so-called
identifier (a sequence of letters and numbers) and acts as a kind of ID tag. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain any viruses. We use cookies to give you a good experience when you visit this website. They also enable us to improve the site.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies” which are automatically deleted when you leave our website. Other cookies are stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
If you do not wish to accept cookies, your browser can be set to automatically prevent the storage of cookies, or to inform you each time a website requests to store cookies. For more information see the browser help pages. If you choose not to accept cookies, the website may still be used, but with limited functionality.
Our website uses a cookie acceptance technology provided by Borlabs Cookie. The supplier of this technology is based in Hamburg. You can choose which cookies you want to accept. Your settings are not forwarded to Borlab’s Cookie.
Analytics and advertising
This website uses features of the Google Analytics web analytics service. The supplier is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics uses cookies, which enable an analysis of how you use our website. The information collected via the cookie is normally sent to one of Google’s servers in the United States and stored there. On this website, we have activated the IP anonymisation function. This way, your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU or EEA before it is passed on to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the entire IP address sent to one of Google’s servers in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the owner of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate your IP address with any other information held by Google.
Plug-ins and tools
This website uses the Google Maps mapping service via an API. The supplier is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Maps is disabled when you first enter the site. Only when you activate Google Maps yourself will a connection be established to one of Google’s servers. The service then stores your IP address and transfers it to one of Google’s servers in the US. After activation, the owner of this website has no influence on the transmission of information.
We use Google reCAPTCHA (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on this website. The supplier is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
reCAPTCHA checks whether data entered on this page (e.g. in a contact form) is entered by a human or an automated program. reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of website visitors according to various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically when the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA uses different information (e.g. IP address, visitor’s mouse movements, or how long the visitor is on the website). The data collected during the analysis is transferred to Google. reCAPTCHA analyses are running completely in the background. Site visitors are not informed that the analysis is ongoing. The analysis is done in the legitimate interest of the website owner to protect against SPAM and automated interception.
Hotjar
To randomly track visitors’ behaviour patterns on our website, we use Hotjar. We do this in order to better understand the needs of our users and to thus improve and further develop the offerings on our website. All data and statistics collected through Hotjar are stored according to Hotjar’s guidelines under an anonymous ID. This cannot be traced back to your personal data and Hotjar is prohibited by contract from reselling the information.
Server log files
The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser transfers to us. This is:
- Browser type and version
- Which operating system is used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the device
- Server request clock
- IP-address
This information is not merged with other data sources. The provider of the website has a legitimate interest in being able to optimise his website and present it in a technically flawless manner. This requires server log files.
Contact form, e-mail or phone
If you send us an enquiry via a contact form, or make contact by email or telephone, the contact details you provide will be stored by us in order to respond to your enquiry. We do not share this information with others without consent. See also our personal data policy for more information on how this data is handled.
Commenting functions
For the commenting function on this website, in addition to your comment, information about the time when the comment was written, your email address and, if you are not commenting anonymously, your username will be stored. Comments and related data (e.g. IP addresses) are kept on this website until the content that has been commented on has been completely deleted, or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. degrading comments). See also our personal data policy for more information on how this data is handled.
Social Media
The content of this website may be shared on social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. For this purpose, the website uses the eRecht24 Safe Sharing Tool. This tool mediates the contact between the media and the user only when the user actively clicks on the sharing button. User data is not automatically transferred to social media through this tool. If the user is subscribed to a social medium, an information window will appear, in which the user can confirm the text before sending it.
