About the drainova® catheter
The drainova® catheter is an indwelling catheter for long-term intermittent drainage of recurrent malignant and benign pleural effusion and ascites.

Treatment with drainova® catheter
With the help of the catheter, the patient can avoid hospital stays and symptoms. The fluid can be drained with a high degree of patient safety at home, increasing quality of life.
The treatment is used in oncology, palliative medicine, pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology and many other specialties. Pleural effusion and ascites can be drained by the patient at home, or with the help of relatives or home health care.

drainova ArgentiC® catheter is an indwelling catheter for symptom relief in patients with recurrent malignant and benign pleural effusion or ascites. The catheter is made of biocompatible silicone with embedded microsilver. Silver ions have an antimicrobial effect on the catheter surface and reduce the risk of infection without having systemic effects.
