Drainage instructions
Detailed drainage instructions and information about our drainage sets can be found in the document Information for physicians and healthcare professionals (Swedish) or in the IFU. We also recommend that you get a free training before you get your first patient, please contact us!
When draining - please consider:
- Choose a suitable place with regard to hygiene and the possibility of resting.
- Have a good, even surface on which to lay the material.
- Use aseptic technique.
- Do not leave the patient alone during drainage.
- Hold the clamp of the drainage line in your hand while draining.
- Do not have drainage bag/bottle connected continuously.
- Dispose of used material well packaged in household waste.
